The Full World Cruise or Shorter Segments - The Choice is Yours
Amsterdam returns to world cruising in 2010 with a 114-day Grand World Voyage departing January 6 from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The line's flagship, ms Amsterdam, sails an eastbound route, but first moves west through the Panama Canal and sails down the coast of South America before rounding Cape Horn and exploring Antarctica. Amsterdam will then cross the Atlantic to Africa, sail around the southern tip of the continent to the Indian Ocean and on to Asia and Canada en route to Los Angeles, Calif. Guests are able to shorten their voyage by disembarking in Vancouver, B.C., April 25 or Seattle, Wash., April 26, making the voyage 109 or 110 days, respectively. Segments ranging from 17 to 47 days are available for those who wish to sample some of the world's most fascinating countries.
The itinerary, which takes the ship to 40 ports on six continents, features 12 overnight calls--the most ever included on a Holland America Line world cruise. With the overnights, guests will have two full days to explore the heritage and culture of Panama City, Panama; Callo (Lima), Peru; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Cape Town, South Africa; Victoria (Seychelles); Mumbai, India; Singapore; Hong Kong, Shanghai and Xingang (Beijing), China; Kobe (Osaka) and Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan.
Port collectors will be able to add to their list a maiden call at Isla Robinson Crusoe, Chile, where Alexander Selkirk was marooned in 1704, thus inspiring the classic novel, "Robinson Crusoe." Hundreds of optional shore excursions, an array of overland tours and the opportunity to visit 14 UNESCO World Heritage sites add color to this epic voyage.

2010 Grand Voyages "Pay in full" savings option extension - June 30, 2009
Holland has also extended the date for guests to pay in full and save an additional 3% from the gross cruise-only fare to June 30, 2009. This affects the Grand World, South America & Antarctica and Mediterranean & Black Sea Voyages. The 2010 Grand Asia & Australia "pay in full" savings date is Jan 10, 2010.
Amenities for 2009 Grand Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific extended until July 31, 2009
The amenities have been scaled back a little in order to ensure that those guests who booked earlier receive the best deal, but new full voyage bookings will still receive a shipboard credit and prepaid gratuities while segment bookings will receive $250 per person in shipboard credit (categories PS-F).
New! Lower fares on 2010 Grand Asia & Australia Voyage
You will see lower fares on the full 69-day voyage and Grand Asia & Australia segments (fall, 2010). These new fares will offer significant savings in order to generate more interest in this fabulous voyage that includes North and Southeast Asia, Australia, an extensive "Great Barrier Reef" experience and the South Pacific.
